J Series Equalising Thrust Bearings.
Equalising or self-levelling thrust bearings have significant advantages over standard tilt pad design. The series of internal segments that link the pads together, allow for perfect alignment or levelling of the thrust face. This ensures the thrust pads can share the load equally and operate at higher overall loads.
Our J Series equalising bearings are inter-changeable with common designs in the market place and can be made from standard steel backed or copper-chrome backed thrust pads.
Applications
Suitable for pumps, gearboxes, motors and small steam turbines.
Size Range
J Series bearings are available from 5" up to 23" diameter.
Materials
Tilt pads can be manufactured from bronze, steel or copper-chrome-zirconium (CCZ) backing with BS3332-A (ASTM B23 Grade 2) whitemetal.
Instrumentation
Pre-machined pads ready to accept your instrumentation or complete supply of bearings with instrumentation installed.

Legacy Glacier-Style Thrust Bearing References
Replacement and re-engineering support for older thrust bearing references.
Oiltech can assess Glacier-style thrust bearing enquiries where customers have an old part reference, drawing, damaged assembly, pad set or carrier. Depending on the application, Oiltech can manufacture a replacement thrust bearing or recommend an upgrade to improve load sharing, heat transfer or reliability.
Our J Series equalising thrust bearings and bespoke thrust bearing capability provide a practical route where older OEM parts are unavailable, expensive or no longer supported.
Glacier is referenced only as a legacy identification term. Oiltech Bearings is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original trademark owner.
